3 Arrested in Anson County, NC Meth Lab Bust

Anson County, NC (WBTV) – Sheriff’s deputies in Anson County arrested two men from Peachland and a woman from Monroe on Thursday who they say were operating a meth lab.

Deputies and SBI agents raided a suspected drug trailer on Caudle Kiker Road, north of Peachland, just inside Anson County from the Union County line around 11 a.m.

The sheriff’s office said the trailer contained “components of a working meth lab as well as the finished product.”

Charles Ray “Shot” Tomberlin, 48, and his 26-year-old son, James Ray Tomberlin, both of Peachland, were arrested along with Crystal Carol Jordan, 34, of Monroe.

All three were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine; maintaining a dwelling to sell and distribute methamphetamine; and possession of precursors (components) to manufacture methamphetamine.

All three are being held in the Anson County Jail under a $200,000 bond each.
