Pittsburgh police officers elected a new union president and executive board Thursday.
Members of the Fraternal Order of Police Fort Pitt Lodge No. 1 chose Patrolman Howard McQuillan as president over Patrolmen Daniel O’Hara and Greg Kalogeris, current president Mike LaPorte said. McQuillan works out of the Zone 4 police station in Squirrel Hill.
Detective Jim Glick ran unopposed for vice president. LaPorte, who did not seek re-election as president, and current vice president Mike Benner were elected to trustee positions.
The officials are scheduled to be sworn in at the FOP’s meeting March 20.
