A Shelby man was charged Wednesday with raping two young girls and sexually abusing one girl over a five-year span.
Tracy Leegaynor Miller, 46, of East Marion Street, allegedly raped a 7-year-old girl and continued abusing her until she reached age 12. He raped another girl when she was 10 and 11, according to Cleveland County grand jury indictments.
Miller was indicted Sept. 7 and arrested six days later on five counts each of first-degree statutory rape and first-degree statutory sex offenses, two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and other sex charges.
He was booked in the Cleveland County Detention Center Wednesday in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday.
