Woman Found Stabbed. Suspect In Custody.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating the murder of a woman who was found stabbed shortly after midnight on Christmas at 2513 Booker Avenue, north of the intersection of West Brookshire Freeway and Beatties Ford Road.
Her identity has not yet been released, but police say a man who met them at the scene is a suspect in the case.
Officers were called to the boarding house at 12:34 a.m., and found the victim inside, suffering from apparent stab wounds. Medic pronounced her dead at the scene, officials said.
A man who was waiting for police outside the house was taken into custody and detectives suspect him in the murder, officials said.
Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood, speaking with any residents who may have any information that will aid the investigation, officials said.
