ROCK HILL – A Northwestern High School student was arrested after throwing bleach into the face of another student on Wednesday.
Marcel Lydell Dyess, 18, was charged with assault and battery third degree, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
Dyess and a 15-year-old girl were arguing before class on Wednesday, police said. After class, Dyess tried to engage the girl again, but she walked away. When Dyess asked her to turn around, the girl refused, the report said.
Dyess then got in front of her and threw fewer than four ounces of bleach cleaning solution in her face, said Rock Hill Police Lt. Roderick Stinson.
The girl was not injured, Stinson said.
Dyess was released on $2,130 bond on Thursday, police say.
