CMPD Seeking Older Model Black Chevrolet Pick-up Truck That My Be Connected to Crime

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man was shot to death and then hit by a car in west Charlotte Tuesday night.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigators are searching for a black, older-model Chevrolet pickup truck in connection with the crime. Police say the truck likely has a broken window and may have a pinstripe down its side.
A person called 911 at about 8:44 p.m. Tuesday, saying that a man had been shot and was lying on the ground in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Village Court near Remount Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they say it appeared that the man had been shot in the chest and he had also been struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not yet been identified.
